Description

Dr Eva Laoutides will discuss ancient manuscripts and their role in creating a bridge between the Byzantines and their Florentine neighbours in the 14th century.

The talk is based on a paper recently submitted by Dr Laoutides and has the title: Euripides and the Byzantine Manuscript Tradition in the fourteenth century.

 

Biography

Dr Eva Laoutides began her studies in Greece at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

She continued them in the United Kingdom at the Universities of Leeds and Kent, then, worked for a few years in the United Kingdom, before coming to Australia.

She currently works in the Faculty of Arts at Monash University as a Senior Lecturer in Classical Studies and joined the School of Languages, Cultures and Linguistics in 2006.
