The Greek Orthodox Community of Melbourne & Victoria (GOCMV), the Modern Greek Teachers Association of Melbourne and Victoria with the support of the Education Consul for the Hellenic Republic Mr. Charalampos Ladopoulos are organising a forum on the topic of:
What parents and teachers need to know about the Australian Curriculum for languages.
As part of the discussion teachers and parents will be informed in relation to the recommendations made to the Victorian Department of Education and Early Childhood Development and to ACARA (Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority) by the Modern Greek Teachers Association of Melbourne & Victoria and the Education Committee of the GOCMV. At the conclusion of the forum, an opportunity will be given to all present to ask questions in relation to the direction and need of the learning of Greek in Australia.
We cordially invite all teacher who teach the Greek language in government, independent, private, catholic, community and Greek-Orthodox schools and parents who have children of school age who are currently learning Greek, to attend the forum.
