Modern Greek Courses for Adults for 2023 |
Our Courses in 2023 Learn Modern Greek by attending our courses offered in 2023 and planned according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages * *In the document above summarised information about the levels of language knowledge is found on pages 24, 26-29, 58-62, 64-84, 86-87, 96, 110, 112, 114, 117-118, 122, 124-125, 129). Courses: Modern Greek A1, A2, B1, B2, C levels (Click each level to see the classes offered) Term 1 (30 January - 6 April) – 10 Sessions x 2 hours - Classes may run on March 13 (Labour Day), if students wish; otherwise, replacement classes will be arranged. Term 2 (24 April - 23 June) – 9 Sessions x 2 hours - Classes may run on April 25 (ANZAC Day) and on June 12 (King’s Birthday), if students wish; otherwise, replacement classes will be arranged. Term 3 (10 July - 15 September) – 10 Sessions x 2 hours Term 4 (02 October - 15December) – 11 Sessions x 2 hours - - Classes may run on November 7 (Melbourne Cup), if students wish; otherwise, replacement classes will be arranged. Venue: Online classes will be delivered via Zoom or Skype - Face to face classes will be held at Greek Centre for Contemporary Culture, 168 Lonsdale St., Melbourne. Dates: See each level below. 6. Modern Greek Speaking(Conversation) classes for students who want to practise and improve their speaking skills. In 2023 we offer Speaking(Conversation) classes for levels A1, A2, B1, B2; these classes cater for students who already know basic Greek and are able to form simple sentences ( Common Reference Levels - self-assessment grid (pdf document 347KB) When: 5:30-6:15 pm on Thursdays in 2023 terms 2, 3, 4 Where: Online Tuition fees: $130 for 10 sessions x 45 minutes
7. 2023 Preparation classes for the Certification of Attainment in Greek - levels A1, A2

8. Modern Greek classes during daytime hours (10 am- 4 pm) If you wish to study Greek during daytime hours (10 am- 4 pm) or if you want to get prepared for the examinations for the Certification of Attainment in Greek (https://www.greek-language.gr/certification/node/cert_en.html) classes may be offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Venue: Online classes will be delivered via Zoom or Skype - Face to face classes will be held at Greek Centre for Contemporary Culture, 168 Lonsdale St., Melbourne Fees: $340 for 10 classes X 2 hours or $510 for 10 classes X 3 hours + book fees according to your level. New course Online Ancient Greek mythology and history classes for students who wish to discover the most famous ancient Greek myths and fascinating facts about Ancient Greece.
