With the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Bank of Greece, Costas Michailidis and the former Deputy Chairman and current member of the Board of Directors, Dimitrios Dimopoulos, met President Bill Papastergiadis during his recent visit to Greece.

National Bank of Greece operates a representative office in Australia which is located at the Greek Centre of the Greek Community of Melbourne.

During the meeting was discussed the future plans for the NBG's Melbourne office, as well as the possibility for the National Bank of Greece to apply for a license to operate branches in Australia, because, as it was stated, "there is no Greek bank in Australia".
