PROPOSED CONSTITUTIONAL CHANGES TO the
Greek Orthodox Community of Melbourne & Victoria

In accordance with Article 60 of the Articles of Association and pursuant to proposals adopted by the General Committee of Greek Orthodox Community of Melbourne and Victoria, a Special General Meeting of the members of the organisation is hereby convened for Sunday 25 November 2012, at 1.30 pm. The Special General Meeting will take place at the "Andrianakos Centre", Alphington Grammar School, Old Heidelberg Road Alphington.

The purpose of the Special General Meeting will be to consider, and if thought fit, to approve and adopt the following amendments and additions to the Constitution:

Proposal

That the Memorandum of Association shall be amended as follows:

(a) paragraphs (c) to (q) of clause 2 of the Memorandum of Association are renumbered paragraphs (d) to (r) of clause 2;

(b) the following paragraph is inserted after paragraph (b) of clause 2 of the Memorandum of Association:
"(c) The promotion of the Greek language, literature and culture".

(c) the following words are inserted at the end of paragraph (l) (former paragraph (k)) of clause 2 of the Memorandum of Association:
", including inviting financial contributions from the public to the Antipodes Centre for Greek Culture, Heritage and Language Cultural Fund."
