The Greek Community of Melbourne (GCM) is seeking Expressions of Interest from persons in the community who want to be part of the Steering Committee that will drive the Restoration Program of our Evagelismos Church in East Melbourne.

The historic church was substantially destroyed by fire on Monday, 2nd of May 2016. Much of its significant icons and timber pews have been destroyed. Structurally, the building appears sound, however there is a lot of internal damage.

The GCM is seeking persons with qualifications and/or experience in general church design and development; icon restoration; general iconography; funds raising; and any other related fields which may contribute to the Church's restoration.
