The Greek History and Culture Seminar series, presented by the Greek Orthodox Community of Melbourne & Victoria and La Trobe University concludes the first part of its series, titled "Antiquity, Classical Greece & Hellenistic Period" over the next two weeks.

Thomas Iliopoulos: 'How the Greek language influenced the English Language'
Tassos Stathopoulos: 'The Ecumenical dimension of Hellenism from the 4th Century BC and
beyond'.
Thursday 12th May
Dr. Kostas Vitkos: 'State and local institutions in Macedonia during the reign of the last two
Antigonides (221 - 168 BCE)'.
Part 2 of the seminar series will commence on Thursday 26th of May at the Greek Community Centre with a lecture titled 'Greece under the Roman Empire'.
