The Greek Community of Melbourne condemns the behavior and the violent actions of a small group of individuals outside the Malvern Tow Hall last Monday and also in our National Day parade at the Shrine of Remembrance, on Sunday.

GCM recognizes and respects the right of people to protest peacefully on the issue of the Prespes Agreement, but believes that even these people do not approve the violent actions of these few individuals.

We say "yes" to the right of every citizen to express his opinion freely and without fear, but "no" to violence and polarization.

We must not allow a group of people to spoil the good and democratic name of our Greek community in the multicultural country we live in.
