The Greek Community of Melbourne’s Language and Culture School held the graduation ceremony of VCE students, on Wednesday, December 15, at the Greek Centre.
The evening was opened by the Principal of the Schools, Mrs. Maria Bakalidou, who welcomed the students and congratulated them for the huge effort they made during this very demanding and difficult year.
The Vice President of the Greek Community and Member of the Educational Committee, Mr. Theodoros Markos in turn congratulated the students and wished them good luck in their next step.
Following the VCE teachers Chrysoula Stamopoulou, Maria Stella Papageorgiou, Anthi Tzani and Christos Raspa, thanked their students for their commitment and hard work.
The graduation ceremony was broadcasted live via zoom for the parents and families of the students, who due to the restrictive measures could not attend. Later in the evening, the students were awarded with graduation certificates as well as commemorative Cycladic figurines presented by the Greek Community of Melbourne’s School.
The students and teachers celebrated the end of the year in a festive and cheerful atmosphere, with Greek music performed by the music group TETRAS.
