An event dedicated to the common points between two peoples -cultures took place at the Greek Centre, on Sunday 15 May 2022.
An event full of emotion, respect, knowledge, that laid the foundation to create for our children an educational program that looks not only at grammar but also at the people and the society we live in and how we adults can like learning from our mistakes and ancestors, to teach our children not to do the same, but also to correct what we have done.
Touching moment when our students with Aboriginal and Greek blood gave us a hug and said thank you, as we honoured the words of proud Wurundjeri woman Rebecca Axford who told us: "I envy your students who can and speak two languages in, who can and live in two cultures".
Heroes of the day, our students from various school campuses who united their voices and touched young and old with their songs, but also with their theatrical performance. A big thank you to teachers (present and absent) for contributing to this event. |
