Biography
George Papadopoulos was born in Australia of Ithacan parentage, educated in state schools, Melbourne High School and University of Melbourne, trained as a lawyer, worked as a lawyer, public servant and as an academic. Community wise he has been involved with the Greek Orthodox Community of Melbourne and Victoria, Australian Greek Welfare Society of which he was a founding member and many other organizations. George has always been involved in communal affairs and has followed community organizations and institutions with great interest. Such an institution of course is the Greek Orthodox Church in Australia of which he will speak of in his lecture.
