The Greek Community of Melbourne is happy to announce an innovative and high-quality Greek Language and Culture Program at Toorak Primary School as a follow-up to last year's inaugural after-school program.

The Program will retain its after-school nature providing playful pre-classroom activities from 3.30 p.m. to 4.00 p.m.

The main learning program commences at 4.00 pm and is extended to 7.00 p.m.

Curriculum

The curriculum reflects current research on how children best learn.

It is structured in thematic modules and is implemented by experienced qualified teachers who utilise up- to- date pedagogical approaches and resources, technology (iPads), singing, dancing, creative drama etc. to cater for individual student learning styles and needs.

The program is designed to foster the basic communication skills of Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening as well as to develop awareness and understanding of the Greek culture and tradition in a pleasant and playful way.

When: Mondays 3.30 p.m. – 7.00 p.m.
